Monday, JANUARY 23

I am happily listening to an old Radio Delux show and happy to have found that some of the old ones are available for free.  This on features John and his daughter, Madeline.  Right now Redbone plays with that distinctive voice.  "Shine on Harvest Moon."
It is followed with a fine Neil Diamond Harvest Moon song.  Nice. Harmonica and everything.
I always love what they play on this show.  Real music with lyrics I can hear and sounds that touch me.  Less and less am I willing to tolerate folks shouting at me and pounding the beat into my skull.
This was a common song sung in the family in the car.  I loved it.  I guess there are very few now who know and sing it.  I am so pleased to hear it on this fine radio mix.  Even some whistling.  Some of what he sings I had not heard before.  I only knew the chorus.

Here is the playlist of this show that first aired in November.

I have I glitch iin the comment section of Vegas on the Bus blog and it is annoying me no end.  However, it does not seem to affect the comment section of this blog, so comment away.

We had stone crab on the cement table, and the shells went everywhere.  I had my grapefruit and realized that the seeds could be catapaulted by spoon anywhere and they would tuck themselves under the leaves fallen from the water oak or scrub oak that grows in such interesting patterns all over the lawn surrounding the house.

ANOTHER IMAGE OF WATER OAK

We went swimming and then for a rare Dairy Queen Blizzard with butter fingers.  Yum.
My orange popcycles came out really good.  That Tuvia does its job.  They will be cheaper than storebought and healthier as well.

I have been overtired all day.  I hope I sleep well the next few nights as they are going to be filled.  Wednesday I'll head up to Ocala for some poker.  Thursday I'll play at Tampa Hard Rock after Elizabeth picks up Ann Marie at the airport and gets the car.

I did spend some time planning my next Vegas trip and I expect I'll have good rates again.  It is very vague in terms of dates as yet, but I did book some deals that may work.

We shopped at Bell's for a few minutes and I picked up a couple more of the shirts I live down here.  One was long sleeves.  We got the senior discount.  Elizabeth bought a really cute little dress decorated with flip flops.

Then we met and coordinated with our cleaner and arranged for her to clean up this week and again after we leave.  The landlord pays most of that cleaning.  Nice.

Oh, and after a long look we did find the bathroom plunger in the pool bathroom.  "nuff said."

I can picture myself accompanying you all on many of your adventures and sitting in your quiet backyard. Thanks! I will send you an e-mail with more details.
