Our neighborhood

These large sprawling trees are everywhere in the neighborhood, and expecially on our house lot.  They don't seem to grow up, but rather like to grow to the sides and cover verticle territory as well as horizontal.  I don't yet know their names.

In some cases we can see where they had grown out and the growth was in the way, so someone cut them off at the trunk to make room.

At our house we have particularly sprawling cluster right at the end of the driveway.  It makes it easy to find our driveway.  I should photograph those.

Often the Spanish moss hangs from the trees making them delightful to stare up into.  I can to that from a swing in the front yard hung on one of those old side growths.

I have always loved palms and these small fans of growth I find particulary attractive.
