Sangria

Okay, I've been drinking Sangria, just a cheap American imitation by Carlos Rossi.
I had it with Marlin.
First rule broken.

I remembered that my Madrid born pal Paco rolled his eyes at the very mention of Sangia.  For him, it was an adulteration of good red wine and something those stupid Americans did, an extention of their love for ice.

Second rule broken.

Now in Torrejon de Ardoz they made a fine Sangria probably to fit the tastes of the American Air Force Airmen.  It is the only Sangria I ever had that included banana in the fresh fruit floating in the red wine.
It went well with the pizza they made, a pizza using machego and chorizo.  Another fine blend of American (Italian) and Spanish.

Okay, we have bananas that Elizabeth won't eat except in a smoothy, so I put chunks of them in the Sangria.
Third rule broken.
Well, they add some taste but not much, so I just toss my glass of Sangria into the blender and mix it all up.

A frothy Sangria.
Fourth rule broken.

Nice drink!

Next I may try watermelon
